We invite you to brighten up your Sunday or any other day by spending some time with our four-legged friends, who will give you strength for the week ahead at work, school or kindergarten.
At Ranch Kaja and Grom we currently have ponies and big horses, two piggies, a sheep, a goat, fishes, and a dog. The number of animals varies, as we get new animals every year and some leave us due to age, illness, or injury.
Getting to know and feeding the animals
In this program, we will meet Stephen the carp and his children. We will learn some interesting facts about the fish and feed them. Then we will pass by a pasture and meet a family of ducks and Franceska the hen and her friends. During the feeding, we will see if any of our feathered friends will be brave enough to come and eat the corn out of our hands. On the way to the sheep and goat, we will be stopped by the piggies Ophelia and Chunolina, who will ask us for some food with their curious muzzle. Finally, we will arrive at the horses, where we will learn a few secrets about them, give them a good cuddle and feed them.

Half-day program
Did you know that piggies like to sleep by touching with their noses and that they are very sociable creatures who like to play, sunbathe and explore? Or that a goldfish can be taught tricks and can live for over 30 years? That goats have rectangular corneas and are toothless on the upper jaw? We will discover this and more during the Half Day Programme when we will walk up to, feed and pet all the animals on the Ranch.
Instead of feeding and learning about the animals, you can choose a program where we will take a walk in a real fairyland. We will visit the dwarfs that make their home in our forest and see their village. The dwarfs are afraid of people because we are so big, but mostly because not all people are nice. These people would like to catch and put dwarfs in cages to show them around. So the dwarfs hide from prying eyes. But if we know how to look for them, we recognize that they are all around us. We’ll learn how dwarfs make their cups and plates, how they paint their clothes, and what their preschool and school look like. We will hear a story about Dwarf Ivy and his friend Dwarf Willow.
We will take a little more time to learn about horses, their care, and, of course, riding. The whole family will have the opportunity to ride on horseback and have a chance to connect with these wonderful animals in this special way. At the end of the program, we will have a snack from Grandma Rozi and enjoy some homemade tea.
Weekend program
The weekend program is designed for families who want to bond even more and spend quality time together in nature and in the company of horses and other animals.
First, the family will get well settled in their room and have a tour of the property, then we will discover the secrets about horses and their language. Then we will learn how to prepare the horse for the night. On the second day, after breakfast, we will first feed all the animals on the property and learn some interesting facts about their lives.
Then we’ll turn our attention to the horses, grooming them and getting them ready to ride. Afterwards, the whole family will have a chance to ride. After lunch and a rest, we will go into the woods and meet the dwarfs, see their village and build a house for them, or learn about the Tellington TTouch Method and see how it works on horses.
On the third and final day, we’ll go to the horses, to see how much we’ve remembered from the previous day about riding. After lunch, we will try our hand at archery and compete in an archery match. Unfortunately, the time to say goodbye will come all too soon, but we believe that our paths will cross again.
